What is a Cafe Racer?

Consequently, it is also a sister bike of the Norton V4SV superbike, which is built for those who really appreciate both performance and design in their ride, all while the V4CR is the first completely new model and motorcycle built by Norton since its acquisition by TVS Motors.

As the V4SV and 961 Commando are handmade at TVS-owned Norton's Solihull plant, the V4CR is said to embody 'all the hallmarks of Norton’s DNA', as they come with a very stylish design, a forward-leaning engine, and a distinctive hourglass shape as well.

The CEO of Norton Motorcycles, Dr Robert Hentschel, also said at Motorcycle Live, that the V4CR is “the next step in Norton’s strategic growth plan on its journey to becoming the world-leader in luxury hand-crafted motorcycles”, and that “We have taken the engineering of the V4SV and stripped back the outer shell to ensure the rider gets a true motorcycling experience", for instance as well.

It is also equipped with 43mm Ohlins NIX30 forks, a fully adjustable Ohlins TTXGP shock, and an Ohlins steering damper.

In its standard setup as well the rake is 23.5 degrees, and the wheelbase is a relatively long 1435mm - but these can be adjusted to suit racing needs when needed.
