Where Did Norton Motorbikes Come From?

Founded in 1898 by James Lansdowne Norton, Norton Motorcycles introduced their first bike in 1902. Just five years later, in 1907, Norton achieved fame when Rem Fowler won the twin-cylinder class at the inaugural Isle of Man TT races.

Later in 1972, Norton developed a 750cc works race bike to compete in the Formula 750 category. This formidable machine was piloted by renowned riders such as Peter Williams, Phil Read, Tony Rutter, Mick Grant, and David Aldana at the time.

Today, they produce some of the most iconic British cafe racer bikes.
